Why Two Sides?

OUKKA PHASE 04 — close-up study of the canvas material

The idea began with clothing. We were exploring how one piece could be worn on either side, taking on a different character without becoming a different object.

That question carried into PHASE 04. Could a bag change with what we wear and how we use it, simply by turning it inside out?

Both versions share a canvas side. On the other side, OU4232 uses fabric sourced in China, while OU4232-E1 uses US-made X-Pac VX07. The materials give the same form a different expression.

For us, reversibility is a way to give one object more room in everyday life. You can choose which side feels right that day.
